Simply put, it’s the complete program you need to operate a fun, non-competitive and parent-friendly curriculum for young children. Designed to introduce them to the basics of dance, fitness and movement in an age-appropriate format, kids stay excited with fresh material to learn all the time, and parents love the subtle but important educational aspects of this program that reinforce healthy habits and good manners.
As a teacher, there’s no doubt that you have the skills to create a curriculum based on your training and experience. However, unless you’'ve spent many years teaching dance to this age group, you’ll find that getting the right balance of music, choreography and activities for them is more challenging than it looks. Plus you have to find the music (and license it to ensure you’re using it legally, an area often overlooked until the licensing agents come knocking on the door). Instead, for a very modest fee you can purchase a complete, integrated three year curriculum to provide your studio with a compelling and fresh approach to teaching these younger kids and locking them into your classes.
You can certainly buy a curriculum DVD from lots of different places. You can buy music too. And you can buy choreography. But you still have to put it all together, and make it coordinated. You need to make it relevant to the kids. And you’re still taking a chance that it all works. Dancercise Kids is proven – this curriculum is being taught to thousands of kids. Reduce your risk and improve your chances of success by purchasing the complete product.
It’s true – you can find plenty of instructional videos for $40. However, that might cover 30 minutes of one dance or movement. As you put that together with music and choreography, it all starts to add up. In fact, by the time you’'ve bought the equivalent of Dancercise Kids'’ 130 songs, 12 hours of instructional DVDs and 300 pages of choreography and lesson plans, you’ll easily have spent the same or more on individual videos, CDs and books. And you will still have to put it all together.
You get everything you need. For the one year curriculum investment of $349 (plus tax, shipping & handling), you get 60 songs on two CDs, about 4 hours of instructional video on DVD, and over 100 pages of choreography and lyrics! For your three year investment of $899, you’ll get the equivalent packaging for three years’ worth of curriculum.
Yes. Under our licensing agreement, you have the rights to use our name and logo in conjunction with your own business for promotional purposes. While you cannot represent yourself as Dancercise Kids the company, you can reference the fact that you use our curriculum
Dancercise Kids has been using this version of the curriculum for over seven years. Operating in Minnesota and Illinois, thousands of children at studios, schools, child care centers and community centers have enjoyed this music, dance and exercise program. The curriculum and music are also being used by studios and mobile dance programs from Ohio to Idaho and Mississippi to Malaysia; Dancercise is truly becoming a global phenomenon when it comes to teaching kids how to dance!
The curriculum is available now from our web store. Each year of the curriculum is available for $349, or the entire three year package can be acquired for $899 - that's less than $7 per activity and song!
We’d love to hear from you! Please call us at +1 952 925 3922, or (better) e-mail us at kids@dancercise.com. We'’ll be happy to talk you through the benefits of this purchase.
You can purchase this through our online store.
Yes. Our music is available in a retail format, and as a licensee of the curriculum, you will be able to buy our music at wholesale prices and sell it to your students’ families with a mark-up or through an affiliate link to our web store.
Yes you can, but your license allows you to use only one copy of the curriculum, so if you have multiple instructors teaching classes, you will need to purchase additional copies of the curriculum.
Just as with other copyrighted works, you may not make copies other than for usual “fair use” purposes (such as having a backup copy in case CDs get scratched). If you need to purchase multiple copies because you have multiple classes operating simultaneously (whether in a large studio or a mobile program), please contact us for volume pricing.
You may load the songs and video to a computer-based medium expressly and only for the purposes of having a more convenient medium (for example, if you want to have a reference copy of the curriculum video on your iPod). You may not reproduce the curriculum in any shape or form without prior written permission from Dancercise Kids and the copyright holder, asseT Productions.
Yes. Unlike many of the offerings out there, the music in this offering is completely original (no rehashed nursery rhymes here!) and has been developed specifically for this program. It has been mixed and mastered by the production team Fiction and all video was produced and directed by specialists in the industry.
One of the main benefits of this curriculum is its original and attractive organization. Each year is divided into four quarters of material – Fitness Fun, Spotlight On Imagination, Planet Playground and Communication Carnival. Within each quarter, each month has a specific theme – a unit – that reinforces particular topics and ties together the music, the dances, the sign language and the education. Examples include units around “People and Places”, “Manners”, “Animals”, “Occupations”, “Muscles” and more!
As with most other music and video properties, you are technically acquiring a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the material for the purposes outlined in the license agreement. This agreement that is included with your package is designed to allow you to use the curriculum for the purpose intended, and to protect the copyright holder.
It’'s very easy to see how you can get your investment in this curriculum back very quickly. If you purchase the three-year curriculum for $899, you can see a payback in less than three months! For example, if you promote this program and successful in adding just ten kids to your program, at $40 per month, you will recoup your investment in just over two months (if you teach it yourself). And you have three years’ worth of material to work with!
Simple! We’re doing it ourselves. In our mobile program in multiple states and in our own studio, we'’ve been offering this program for years. We take our own medicine and we are clearly differentiated from the other programs in the region. Kids love it, and so do parents.
Yes we can. We have several options for you. Having run a mobile business (where we take this curriculum out to child care centers and similar locations) for twenty years, there's virtually nothing that surprises us anymore. Take advantage of our experience to avoid some of the common mistakes and get yourself up and running quickly. We can customize a training program for you, especially if you are willing to visit us in person here in Minnesota. If not, we can offer you training via the phone and the internet and, again, we can customize a training program for you. An alternative is to sign up for our subscription membership program coming in 2011 where, for a modest monthly subscription, you will be able to have access to our experience and expertise on topics from teaching hints to business tips. If you're interested in some other form of help, please feel free to contact us via e-mail and we'll see what we can do!
Not at all! In a franchise model, you are required to pay a significant upfront fee (usually $10,000 or more), you sign a long term agreement with the franchisor that includes usually the obligation to pay them from 5% to 10% of your revenue, and you are subject to the restrictions, critique and frankly whims of the franchisor. While purchasing a franchise does give you certain advantages in terms of a protected territory and specific business system, it limits your flexibility and can restrict your growth. With a licensing program such as Dancercise Kids, you are free to do as you choose (subject to the license), to operate where you wish, grow as fast as you can (just buy the licenses you need) and we do not want a dime of your income. If you are looking for more advice and counsel in building your business, our subscription site will give you access to our experience for a very modest monthly fee that you can discontinue at any time.
